December 10, 2025: Discover Blair County (DBC), the official destination marketing
organization for Blair County and affiliate of the Blair Alliance for Business and Economic
Growth (the Alliance), has hired Morgan Koziar as DBC Operations and Marketing Director. “We
are very excited to announce we have filled this key leadership position with an outstanding
professional,” said Ron McConnell, Chair of the Alliance Board. “Morgan brings a deep
knowledge base of Blair County’s destinations, experiences and lodging properties along with
the proven communication skills needed to help market our community on all levels. We are
very fortunate to have someone with such a skill set and background join our team,” McConnell
added.
For more than seven years, Koziar has been an on-air news reporter, anchor and producer at
WTAJ-TV. Most recently she served as producer and host of the lifestyle show Studio 814
where she featured organizations, special events and people that help to make the Blair County
region a great place to live and work. A Pennsylvania native, Koziar attended Slippery Rock
University where she majored in Public Relations and was one of the leading pioneers to re-
brand her campus’ television station WSRU-TV News.

and experiences that make Blair County feel like home,” said Koziar. “I’ve spent years telling the
region’s stories, and I’m excited to continue that work by helping visitors and residents discover

our county’s story in fresh and meaningful ways. There’s so much potential here, and I can’t wait
to get started,” Koziar added.
Koziar will take on the new position in early 2026. DBC operations will be based in the Blair
County Convention Center. She will work closely with the Convention Center, the Alliance staff
and Board and other applicable Authorities and organizations.
